Eat my turf...

Soccer was SO rough tonight. The other team, The Scoobie Snacks, thought that they were hott shit and just kept shoving us around. We took the quick lead and by half we were leading 3-1. They came back to tie it but we ended up winning, but not after I got kicked out. This girl on the other team kept shoving the shit outta me so finally I had had enough and started pushing back. A penalty got called on me and as I was turning around, the girl was right in my face yelling. "CAN'T YOU PLAY WITHOUT PUSHING!!" I said "I CAN PLAY WITHOUT PUSHING WHEN YOU START PLAYING WITHOUT PUSHING!!" The ref quickly stepped in and told us to settle down. I again began to turn around when she just would shut up. We got into it and needless to say, we both got kicked out. The game only had like 5 minutes left so no big deal really and thank God we won. At the end the girl wouldn't even shake my hand. Ha!

So onto grades.. before I reveal the results let me set a scene for you. At midquarter I recieved a C+ from my painting teacher and I thought that was fair because I had never had painting before. So I worked real hard and never missed a class, that is more then I can say for the teacher though. He was never there. He would walk in and announce a work day and then leave, never to be seen again. What a crock then when critique time would come around I would get all this negative talk about my work, but no help to improve it. So when finals came around, we had to drop our paintings off and we could pick up our grades the next day from the office. The next day came and he again game me a C+. I couldn't believe it. Now, I'm no Piccasso, but I know for a fact that my second quarter stuff is much better then my first quarter stuff. So I promptly went looking for him to discuss this matter and of course he was no where to be found. I left him a letter in his mailbox telling him to call me to discuss my grade. Well he never called but I did notice that he gave me a B- for the semester. Which I am happy with, better then a C+. So with that said here's the rest of my grades.
  • History of Western Art B
  • Painting I B-
  • Ceramics I A
  • The Study of Nonverbal Behavior B
  • Alternate Photography A
So the semester didn't turn out too bad after all. I was pretty satisified with my grades for the most part, I wish I could have done a little better and had my A's outweigh my B's but there's always next semester.

THE BUS THE BUS THE BUS

Funny story I tell ya. I was driving the bus around today, keep in mind that it has no plates and I just got insurance on it two days ago so I have no proof of it yet, and Lukas (5) and Emily (9) and I decide to go up to the fueling station and get some fuel. Well wouldn't you know that there was two goddamned cops in the lot. Just my luck. So we decide to just drive on through because if I stopped for fuel I was for sure gonna get caught. So as we were pulling outta the gas station we were getting pulled over. Son of a &*^%!!!

Emily quietly says "I'm scared dARLA."
Lukas loudly exclaims "Not me, I'm not scared!"

I told them to settle down and sit straight. The officer was a typical ass and began giving me the 20 question game. I explained everything and he strode off with my license. He returned in a much better mood and presented me with my one ticket. I was grateful, because he could have given me like three. He ticketed me for failure to register with the DOR. He says once I get my plates I can get the fine excused and then I'll only have to pay court costs which is $51.50. That part sucks, but at least that's all I got. So, no more leaving the subdivision without liscense plates. And the kicker is that mom and Alex took the damn bus all the way to Auto Zone today and didn't get caught. Just my luck I tell ya.

That's all for now, sorry it was so long.

P.S. For those who were wondering, the cards are once again outta the box and I think the flap might even be tore off. And not only tore off but tore up!!! Yikes.

All the small things...

I think that all to often in life we forget about the small things, and life is made up of a bunch of small things. It's the small things in life that make other people smile: a card just to say "thinking of you," a kiss for no reason, a smile from someone you don't even know, a secret note that they don't find for three days....you get the idea. I challenge everyone this week to do one small thing for someone else, and if you're really feeling ambitious then do something small for two or three people, I guarantee that it will give you that feel good feeling. Try it you'll like it!

"It's funny how the follies of the people closest to you can be used as a kind of currency to buy your own allure"
It's kinda sad how true that is...

Love him or leave him?

I haven't posted in a while. Been really really busy with the end of school. THANK GOD that is over. All my grades arent in yet but I know I got an A in photography and a B in my Study of Nonverbal Behavior class. I still can't believe that this semester is over. I've now got an entire summer ahead of me. I can't wait. Camping, drinking beer, boating, drinking beer, going to the lake, drinking beer, sleeping in, running away... it's going to be a good time. Work at Wiethop's only has one week left then I have to decide what else to do. I can't hardly wait, Stephanie comes home this week hopefully and then the summer will officially start. As for my car problem I still haven't got that figured out yet, but now that schools out I'll have more time to devote to that. I don't have too much exciting news this time. My weekend was good, went dancing Thursday, D.J.'d an 8th grade party on Friday, went to Illinois on Saturday and went to work on Sunday.

If I come up with any new news I'll get back to ya!

Broken Dreams

It's been a bad week for me as far as cars go. Make sure you're sitting down while you read this.

The red car is broken, probably never to be driven again by me. It was due up for inspection in April and when Daddy took it last week, the guy took him out to the shop and showed him the underneath. He said he was surprised that you couldn't just pull the front tires off everything was so rusty. So needless to say parts will cost about $300 and Daddy and I can fix it, but is it worth our time? The car is so rusty everywhere else also. When it rains, so much water comes in the floorboards that I feel like I'm riding Thunder River at Six Flags. Both my driver side fenders are busted in, the hood is all rusty and I'm surprised that the headlight hasn't fallen out yet because of the rust. So, I have to make a decision what I want to do, fix the red one or sell it and get another one. What does everyone else think?

Next sheet of bad news....

I thought I blew up the motor for the racecar again. I made one good pass last night and then in the middle of my second pass, I felt something break. It wasn't good. I shut down and coasted off. Luckly this time I didn't blow any holes in the case. The shop has it now and hopefully Jason is taking good care of it and getting her all fixed up.

So cars have been my enemy this week. But some good news, the bus is ready for plates. Hopefully by this time next week I'll be driving the bus around and until I find another beetle.

School is almost over and it's been hell. I do nothing except go to work, go to school, go back to work, go back to school and go to bed. Seriously I've been at school every night this past week until at least midnight if not later. But, it's almost over, finals are this coming week. My photo project turned out real nice and I got real good critique on it.

Well, that's all for now, I've got to get back to work.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to every mother..... lol that just made me laugh for some reason. Seriously though I love you mom.

End of semester....

Here it comes again...the end of the semester...THANK GOD! Painting what I'm really looking forward to ending. I just can't stand that class. I mean I've never had painting before and the instructor is of NO help. He just saunters out with his coffee cup and says it'll be a workday and we never see him again. It just frusterating. I couldn't love ceramics anymore if I tried. I love the instructor, I love my classmates, I just love the environment. Wednesday night there were five of us there until 2 am. I have to send out a congradulations to my buddy Michael, I just found out he's going to be getting married this summer. Damn you! That's the great thing about being an art student. The art building is open 24 hours a day. If we get inspiration at 3 am we can come in and act on it. I don't even think the doors lock in that place.

My final project for my photography class has to do with reflection. I decided to capture the reflection of my bug in the hubcaps of 18 wheelers as they cruise down the highway. Needless to say, that was an adventure. I have to thank Alex for all his help and Aunt Patty for the use of the camera. Alex and I went a little past Sullivan, MO down 44 and back. It a pretty far way for those who don't know. Let's just say we had to get more fuel in order to get back home. I got 71 shots though, so I think thats pretty good. Hopefully this project will turn out nice.

Nothing else too new. I got a new body wave put in my hair last week, so now it's real curly. Soccer tonight was alright. We were missing half our team, so we didn't really play up to par. We did try out a new goalie though. Bob was pretty good for being new. Work at Wiethops is going good, but I only have like 3 or so weeks left. I then have to decide what else I want to do. I thought about calling Dave from Saratoga (where I got my senior pics taken) and see if he needed any help, he offered me a job a couple of years ago. I also thought about getting my portfolio together and trying to get some freelance work. We'll see. I also need to get ready for camping. Tricia pack your stuff and lets get the hell outta here!!!!! Let's run away (we can bring Taylor too).

That's all for now.

P.S. The cards are outta the box...Damn it!! I can't even find them all to put them back in! I was so close, they were all in and the flap was even shut! I hate this!!!
